Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Assistant Manager – Warehouse Operations to manage day-to-day warehouse activities, ensure smooth operations, maintain inventory accuracy, and achieve operational and customer service targets.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily inbound, storage, inventory, picking, packing, dispatch, and outbound operations.

Ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations as per defined SOPs and customer requirements.

Plan manpower, shift schedules, and daily work allocation to meet operational requirements.

Monitor inventory accuracy, stock movement, cycle counts, and physical stock verification.

Ensure timely order processing and dispatch as per customer SLA/TAT.

Monitor productivity, operational KPIs, and prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports.

Coordinate with Transport, Inventory, Customer Service, HR, Finance, and other internal teams.

Handle customer queries, operational escalations, and ensure timely resolution.

Ensure proper utilization of warehouse space, manpower, MHE, and other resources.

Monitor warehouse housekeeping, 5S, safety, and compliance standards.

Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, statutory requirements, and customer processes.

Conduct regular warehouse audits and identify areas for process improvement.

Control operational costs and identify opportunities for productivity improvement.

Train, guide, and develop warehouse supervisors and operational staff.

Monitor MHE and equipment usage and coordinate for maintenance whenever required.

Ensure proper documentation for inbound and outbound activities.

Support implementation of WMS/ERP systems and ensure accurate transaction processing.

Prepare and present operational performance reports to management.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of Warehouse & 3PL Operations.

Good understanding of Inbound, Outbound, Inventory & Dispatch processes.

Knowledge of WMS/ERP and warehouse documentation.

Good knowledge of MS Excel and MIS reporting.

Strong manpower planning and team management skills.

Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Strong communication and coordination skills.

Ability to handle operational pressure and customer escalations.

Knowledge of 5S, Lean/Kaizen and warehouse safety will be an added advantage.

Qualification

Graduate in any discipline.

MBA/PG Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain or Operations will be an added advantage.
